Per la biblioteca di Franchino Gaffurio: i manoscritti milanesi

The paper represents the second stage of a research aimed at reconstructing the library of musician Franchino Gaffurio (1451-1522): after a first article dedicated to the manuscripts preserved in Lodi (published in Scripta 2012), this one is dedicated to the Milanese manuscripts. 7 manuscripts are presented, including the first autograph of Gaffurio, ms Sola Cabiati, accessible for the first time in fifty years, and the four large musical Libroni preserved at the Fabbrica del Duomo in Milan, recently the subject of new studies and musicological editions. In addition to these, two Ambrosian manuscripts are presented, Milan, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, Ambr. H 165 inf. and Ambr. H 233 inf., one autograph and the other most likely commissioned by Gaffurio.
