Pedagogic sciences

Graduates of the Degree Programme are expected to acquire:
- advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and competencies in the fields of pedagogy and education, enriched by interdisciplinary contributions from philosophy, history, psychology, and sociology, which help define the relevant conceptual framework and support its practical implementation;
- an adequate command of educational research methodologies, including historical, theoretical, and experimental approaches, applied within formal, non-formal, and informal educational and training contexts;
- advanced knowledge of the various aspects of instructional design and educational practices, as well as of the methods and techniques for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes and social impact of intervention projects and programmes;
- a critical and in-depth understanding of the theories, methodologies, and tools characterising the relationship between teaching and digital technologies;
- fluent written and oral proficiency in at least one European Union language other than Italian, including knowledge of relevant disciplinary terminology. The Degree Programme is structured over two academic years and leads to the acquisition of 120 ECTS credits. It includes educational activities in the fields of pedagogy and teaching methodology, philosophy, history, psychology, sociology, and anthropology. The programme is completed by a training internship aimed at developing students’ ability to apply their knowledge in professional contexts, as well as by a final examination. The Master's Degree Programme is organised into specific curricula focusing on pedagogical counselling, interventions in the fields of disability and marginalisation, e-learning, and media education. Within each curriculum, the different disciplinary areas provide not only a theoretical and conceptual framework, as well as common practices and competencies, but also a distinctive characterisation tailored to each specific field of intervention.
