After having outlined the European integration process and defined the role that the Courts at all levels have played in it, the work examines the most recent jurisprudence of the European Union Court of Justice, of the Italian Constitutional court and of the Italian national judges. The purpose is to provide a framework of the development of the relationships between such courts and of the existing balances, that see a growing importance of the role of national judges.
