La letterarietà dei discorsi fattuali: dal caso delle memorie personali alle questioni della figuralità nei ‘generi deboli’

In the attempt to truly ‘pursue a dialogue’ with a master whose passing makes this goal literally unattainable, in this contribution I try to cast new light on the specific role played by ‘factual discourses’ (particularly Memoirs) in Francesco Orlando’s theoretical and empirical research about ‘literariness’, figurative structures, text analysis and I identify a clear set of still unanswered (and, in part, seemingly new) research questions stemming from it. Some key and fertile conceptual contradictions, the epistemological need for a deeper understanding of oppositional structures and a slight hint to the stylistic features of Orlando’s prose hopefully add to the overall result of a scientific paper that is also a call to life for an ‘Orlandian’ research agenda on ‘weak literature’.
