“Esta tarde te alivian los colores: poesía, pintura y materia subjetiva en la obra de Rafael Alberti”

El presente artículo se centra en la interrelación entre poesía y pintura en la obra de Rafael Alberti.
Con este objetivo, se ofrece un excursus dedicado a la importancia que las artes plásticas ejercieron en
la producción del autor a través del análisis detenido de algunos de sus poemarios, entre ellos:
Retornos de lo vivo lejano, A la pintura y el libro de artista Nunca fui a Granada. El fin, por tanto, es
demostrar cómo el gran potencial imaginario-metafórico del gaditano alimentó siempre su dictado
poético, hasta tal punto que aflora, en sus versos, un lenguaje específico, doble, abierto a distintas
formas, que convierte la pintura en un sólido correlato de su estado anímico.

The article focuses on the interrelation between poetry and painting in Rafael Alberti’s literary works.
For this reason, starting from the analysis of some of his collection of poems – Retornos de lo vivo
lejano, A la pintura and the art book Nunca fui a Granada – the paper offers an excursus dedicated to
the importance that the plastic arts played in the author’s production. Therefore, the aim is to
demonstrate how his great imaginary-metaphorical potential always fed his poetic dictation, to such an
extent that, from his verses, a specific, double language arises: a language open to different forms,
which turns painting into a solid correlation of his state of mind.
