Life Cycle Assessment on fashion industry: four case studies

As one of the most environmentally harmfulindustries worldwide, the fashion industry urgentlyrequires sustainable practices to mitigate its impact. Thispaper analyses the literature to determine the importanceof a monitoring tool such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA),as an enabler for the transition towards sustainablebusiness models within the fashion industry. The aim is toanalyse the literature to highlight benefits, limitations, andcase studies that can serve as a basis for theimplementation of this tool in fashion companies to makethem more sustainable. This work is also a preparatoryaim, for the creation of case studies that will be carried outin companies in the context of the Marche Region, Italy,where this industry has an important strategic andeconomic relevance.
