The Bone of Saint Anthony the Great and the healing Bell. Traces of Miracles in Portico di Caserta and Macerata Campania

This article reconstructs the presence and devotional value of two objects linked to the cult of Saint Anthony the Abbot in the Caserta area: a bone relic, found in 2012 in the church of Portico di Caserta, and the silver bell of the statue preserved in Macerata Campania. Both artefacts, intertwined with votive offerings and popular traditions, bear witness to miraculous practices linked to the healing of children and the sick. The analysis shows how relics and rituals have contributed to consolidating the community and ritual dimension of the feast of Saint Anthony over time, expressing the interaction between faith, memory and local identity.
