Santo e santità nel buddhismo. Aspetti morfologici e modelli di santità

Chapter
Publication Date:
2020
abstract:
This contribution addresses the complex issue of “holiness” in Buddhism, a concept that lacks a single term but can be traced back to various figures and models. The analysis, from a historical-religious perspective, highlights how terms such as muni, ārya, siddha, arahant and bodhisattva outline different modes of spiritual perfection, from individual awakening to the universal vocation of compassion.
