The essay analyzes not only the multifaceted and complex relationship between business and social responsibility, but also the related challenges of balancing the economic performance with the growing community expectations. Therefore, in increasingly and rapidly changing environmental contexts, and considering internal and external factors, businesses are called upon to adopt and disseminate a socially responsible corporate culture and to promote sustainable development. The study also focuses on the case of the multinational Coesia, with particular reference to its corporate social responsibility policies.
