abstract:
The use of the media as useful tools for questioning the social and cultural perceptions of a complex and transversal theme in different areas such as indifference, is part of a broader reflection on the characteristics and potential of these formats. A film sequence, a commercial or billboard, a music video clip or a newscast service, are often capable of activating particular attention and stimulating complex and articulated reading skills, not only in reference to the media texts themselves, but also the themes and realities that they represent and / or reproduce. In this sense, they act as particularly suitable tools for recording the different perceptions of a theme and for activating a non-superficial reflection on the methods of fruition and processing of cultural and social messages, both in an individual and collective perspective.
