Istituti di credito e finanziamenti all'industria cinematografica (1953-1957)

This paper reconstructs the role of credit institutions in financing the Italian film industry, highlight-ing the importance of private capital in the evolution and internationalization of the industry. By analyzing and comparing unpublished archival materials, the research focuses on the agreements implemented by ANICA after World War II, the agreement between Italian Film Export and the Banco di Santo Spirito and the various financing methods made available by credit intitutions. The resulting framework highlights the importance of these financial activities in overcoming a period of crisis in the film industry, paving the way for the most successful period of Italian cinema
