BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES:
• July 17, 2007 graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Marche, grade 105/110, with a thesis entitled "A techno-economic analysis of biomass gasification - solid oxide fuel cell systems", Supervisor Prof. Fabio Polonara, Co-supervisors Prof. Neil J. Hewitt and Dr. David McIlveen-Wright, developed at the Center for Sustainable Technologies of the University of Ulster (United Kingdom) as part of the Erasmus Program.
• In 2007 she participated in the competition for admission to the Research Doctorate in Energy (IX ° new series) at the Department of Energy of the Polytechnic University of Marche - Faculty of Engineering and won a place with a scholarship.
• Registration in the Order of Engineers of the Province of Macerata on 28 January 2009
• In 2009 he obtained the title of Technician authorized to issue certifications relating to fire prevention pursuant to Law 818/84 and pursuant to D.M. March 25, 1985, issued by the Federation of the Orders of Engineers of the Marche.
• On 21 February 2011 he obtained the title of PhD in Energy at the Polytechnic University of Marche, with a thesis entitled "Biodiesel and Microalgae: energy for a sustainable future", Supervisor Prof. Fabio Polonara.
• On 3 February 2014 he obtained the eligibility and qualification as Associate Professor in Sector 09 / C2 - II (Article 16 of Law 240 of 30/12/2010).
• On May 19, 2015 appointed has Associate Professor in Thermal Sciences at e-Campus University

SYNOPSIS OF RESEARCH ACTIVITY:
University Research Assignments
1. From November 2010 to October 2012 he won a Research Grant with the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Marche entitled "Theoretical-experimental study on the exploitation of biomass of algal origin for energy purposes" in the context of Scientific Disciplinary Sector ING-IND / 10 (24 months)
2. From November 2012 to October 2013 he won a Research Grant with the Department of the Polytechnic University of Marche entitled "Production of lipids and by-products from biomass of algal origin" within the Scientific Disciplinary Sector ING-IND / 10 (12 months)
3. From November 2013 to October 2015 he won a Research Grant with the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Marche entitled "Energy aspects of the smart home for an active and independent longevity of the elderly", in the context of the Scientific Disciplinary Sector ING-IND / 10 (24 months)

Participation in Research Projects
1. Between 2007 and 2008 he participated in the research project funded by the Ministry for the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea, entitled "Energy-environmental research for A.E.R.C.A. Ancona Falconara and lower Esino valley - Project e) Thermodynamic optimization of bio-diesel production processes ", with the task of identifying new thermodynamic optimization procedures for the biodiesel production process.
2. From March 2010 to March 2014 he participates in the research project funded by the Cariverona Foundation, entitled "Biomass of today and tomorrow: a contribution to sustainable agriculture and renewable energy from livestock waste and microalgae", with the assignment to establish a new research direction on microalgae for lipid production.
3. From January 2011 to March 2015 he participates in the research project funded by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, entitled "Biofuels from completely renewable sources not in competition with food crops in the Mediterranean environment: Evaluation of the agricultural, environmental, energy and economic impact (BIO.FO.R.ME)", with the task of investigating the opportunities in terms production of biofuels from microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors and / or open ponds.
4. Participates in the Energy for Europe (I.E.E.) project, called "CITY_SEC - Regional development and Energy agencies supporting muniCIpaliTY_Sustainable Energy Communities to jointly become active energy actors in Europe", where he deals with energy planning at the municipal level.
5. Coordinates the project H2020-SMEINST-1-2015 - ReSpirA: Olive oil wastewater Reuse for the production and commercialization of Spirulina Alga
6. Participate in the European project SkyBelt - Enhancement of engineering skills of students of all levels for application of evidence based sustainable renewable energy solutions in the built environment.

Industrial Research Assignments
1. From December 2007 to July 2009 he is technical consultant of S.TRA.TE.G.I.E S.r.l., Spin Off of the Polytechnic University of Marche, for the identification of the technology for the construction of a biomass cogeneration plant.
2. From January 2008 to November 2008 he took part in the project financed by the Marche Region "Advanced production systems for Geothermal", for the study and development of a mathematical model for the transfer of heat between a spiral geothermal probe and the ground, such as holder of research contract by Energy Resources Srl.
3. From May 2008 to December 2008 he is technical consultant of S.TRA.TE.G.I.E S.r.l., Spin Off of the Polytechnic University of Marche for the development of models for the implementation of Municipal Energy-Environmental Plans.
4. Between September 2009 and May 2010 he is a technical consultant for NOVAOL Srl for the energy optimization of two biodiesel production plants.
5. From March 2020 and December 2021 he is scientific manager of the research agreement with SOGEPU at their waste treatment plant, in order to optimize the management of the plant, reducing its environmental impact by using microalgae and renewable energy generation systems. .
6. From December 2020 to today he is scientific manager of the research agreement with ENERECO for the study of anaerobic digestion sludge treatment systems using microalgae.

Achievement of prizes and awards for scientific activity
1. EN.FA.Si Project - 2009 - Rotary International: Construction of a solar refrigeration machine for storing vaccines or foodstuffs
2. Applied Energy: Highly Cited Award Review Paper 2012 to 2013
Results obtained in technology transfer in terms of participation in the creation of new businesses (spin off), development, use and marketing of patents
3. In 2013, together with four other partners, he set up the Academic Spin-Off GreenTech Srl of which he became President and CEO. The research company is active on the one hand in the development, production and sale of sustainable systems for the conversion, management and storage of electrical, thermal and refrigeration energy, on the other hand in the development of industrial-scale photobioreactor systems, with the dual objective to create high-value solutions for biogas cogeneration plants and to create and market one or more by-products from the biomass obtained (microalgae).
4. On November 8, 2013 he filed a patent application entitled "Photo thermal solar panel including an adsorbent substance (AN2013A000208)"
