The essay examines the meanings of the audiovisual imagery of disability which in recent years has intersected with that of sexuality. Focusing on the documentaries produced in the new millen-nium, the contribution proceeds by comparison, moving between the negative and positive repre-sentations of eroticism involving disabled subjects, the central figures for their erotic life and the arising gender issues, to understand how the audiovisual has contributed to the normalization of disabled sexuality and intimacy.
